Тема урока "Дом, милый дом"

Цель: обобщение материала по теме «Дом, квартира».

Задачи:

Обучающие:

  1. Развивать умения аудировать с целью получения полной информации.
  2. Практиковать употребление настоящего завершенного времени в разных структурах (утвердительных, вопросительных).

Развивающие:

  1. Способствовать развитию интереса учащихся к изучению английского языка.
  2. Формировать логическое мышление учащихся в процессе обучения монологической и диалогической речи.
  3. Развивать образное мышление, эрудицию.

Воспитывающие:

  1. Приобщить учащихся к общечеловеческим ценностям, сформировать уважение к своему родному дому.
  2. Воспитывать доброжелательность, вежливость, толерантность по отношению к окружающим.

Оборудование к уроку:

Магнитофон, аудиокассета, предметные картинки, магнитная доска, раздаточный материал, таблички со словами по теме.

1. Introduction.

Good morning, dear children! I am glad to see you. I hope you are fine. Today we shall continue speaking about our houses and flats. There is no place like home. The English people say, “East or West, home is best”. Let’s remember the names of the rooms and furniture we have in our houses and flats.

2. Warming-up.

Listen to some comprehensions.

I want you to listen to my stories. I shall describe different rooms. What room is it?

1. People can prepare breakfast, dinner or supper in this room. Women usually spend much time there. We have a fridge, a sink, a table, a cooker and a cupboard in this room. (Kitchen)

2. There are beds or a sofa in this room. You can see a little table and a wardrobe there. People have a rest in this room. (Bedroom)

3. This room is not very large. We take a shower or have a bath in this room. You can clean your teeth, wash your hands and face there. (Bathroom)

4. Families get together for the meal in this room. They have breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper there. There are some chairs and a table in this room. (Dining-room)

5. There is a TV set, a wall-unit, some chairs and a sofa in this room. Some people have a fireplace there. We can see some flowers on the walls. There is often a carpet on the floor. It is usually the largest room in the house. People watch television, listen to music, or sit around and speak there. (Living room)

6. You can see a table, a chair, a bookcase and some shelves on the wall in this room. There are books and magazines on the shelves. You can read books, do your homework or write a letter in this room. Your parents can write a report, read important letters and work there. (Study)

7. This room is not very large. People take off their overcoats, hats, boots or shoes there. There is usually a mirror and a little table there. (Hall)

4. Lexical activities. (P1, P2) Who is quicker?

My kitchen is light and cozy. There is a cook in the kitchen. There is a TV set on the table. There are yellow curtains on the window. There is running water in the kitchen. There is a wall cupboard. There is a refrigerator to the left of the window. There are 4 chairs in the room. There is a carpet on the floor. There are dishes in the cupboard. There is a butterfly on the curtains. There is a clock on the wall. There is a chocolate on the table.

It’s a bedroom. The bedroom is not large. There is a wardrobe in the corner of the room. There is a DVD player on the table. There is a bed to the right of the door. There are four bookshelves near the bed. There are two lamps on the wall. There is a carpet on the floor. There are beautiful flowers in the bedroom.

It’s a living room. In the living room there is a carpet, a fireplace, a sofa, a stereo, a TV set, a table, a mirror and two armchairs. There is a TV set on the table. There is a clock on the wall. There is a sofa near the window. There are flowers on the table. There are two lamps on the wall. There is a wardrobe in the corner. There is a stereo on the TV set. There is a picture above the sofa. There is a carpet on the floor.

It’s my room. I like my room. I think it’s better than my sister’s room.

There is a computer on the table. There are twenty posters on the wall. There is an orange telephone on the table. There is a bed to the left of the door. There is a big wardrobe to the right of the desk. There are two bookshelves. There is a big clock on the wall. There is a pink curtain on the window. There is a big, beautiful carpet on the floor. There are flowers on the table. There is a toy on the wardrobe.

It’s a bathroom.

There is a bath in the bathroom. There is a small carpet on the floor. There is a lavatory in the bathroom. There is soap on the shelf. There is a washing machine in the bathroom.

7. Grammar practice

What do you do about the house? Choose the words from the box and complete the sentences in Present Perfect Tense.

Do the shopping,  Water flowers
Cook meals,  Wash the dishes
Sweep the floor,  Do the washing
Repair the furniture,  Clean the room

For example: I have just watered flowers.

Ask your friend “what has he (she) already done?”

8. Role playing

Act out the conversation between the mother and the daughters.

- Mum, shall I wash the dishes?
- Thank you very much.

- Mum, shall I give you a hand? I can clean the kitchen.
- It’s all right. Thank you.

- Mum, there’s no cheese. Shall I buy some cheese?
- Certainly.

9. Relaxation. Sing the song.
